American Drone BVLOS Policy: What Every UAV Service Provider Should Know
On June 6, 2025, the White House issued a bold Executive Order to accelerate the adoption and commercialization of drone technology in the U.S. The directive outlines a roadmap for expanding Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations, streamlining FAA approvals using artificial intelligence, and boosting the use and export of American-manufactured UAV systems.
This is a historic moment for the UAV industry—and for us at HiFly Aerial, it’s the confirmation that the work we’ve already been doing is future-aligned.
Understanding the American Drone BVLOS Policy and Its Impact on UAS Operators
Key highlights from the Executive Order:
BVLOS flights will soon be legal, routine, and regulated under a new FAA rule.
FAA waivers will be accelerated using AI to evaluate risk and match precedents.
U.S.-made drones will be prioritized in federal contracts and export support.
A new eVTOL Pilot Program will fund test operations across the U.S.
Export policies will be revised to promote American UAVs with financing and risk insurance.

How HiFLY Aerial Aligns with American Drone BVLOS Policy
We’ve been operating with these national priorities in mind from the beginning:
✅ BVLOS-Ready Operations
We’re building compliant, safe, and scalable BVLOS workflows designed for infrastructure, agriculture, and energy applications.
✅ AI-Powered Inspections
We use AI-assisted thermal and RGB analysis to create faster, smarter deliverables for roofs, solar fields, and construction clients.
✅ Youth Drone STEM Training
Our HiFly FPV STEM camps introduce youth to the fundamentals of aviation, data mapping, and robotics—helping build the next generation of drone professionals.
✅ Veteran-Led Mission Mindset
As a U.S. Air Force veteran–owned business, we embed precision, purpose, and professionalism into every flight mission.
✅ U.S. Technology Adoption
We’re actively exploring partnerships with domestic UAV manufacturers to align with the administration’s drone supply chain security goals.
